Why Men's Health Atlas exists

Men's health information is a mess of marketing

Most sites covering men's health are either thin content built to rank, or a storefront for whatever they're selling. We wanted the opposite: real research, with the boring but important details — pricing, red flags, fine print — that other sites skip because they don't help close a sale. TRT was our first deep dive because the market for it is especially confusing on purpose, and we've since brought the same approach to erectile dysfunction, fitness, sleep, heart health, screening, and mental health. More about how we work →

Independent research

Every profile is built from public sources, patient reviews, and regulatory filings — not paid placement, except our one clearly marked sponsor.

Real cost breakdowns

Not just the teaser monthly rate — a true first-year estimate including labs, consults, and the fees that show up after you've already signed up.

Red flags included

FTC warning letters, BBB complaints, franchise inconsistency, refund disputes — we flag them exactly as readily as we flag what's good.

Is TRT the right next step?

When TRT makes sense, and when to look elsewhere first

Worth discussing with a clinician

  • Ongoing symptoms such as low energy, low libido, or erection problems.
  • Low testosterone confirmed on at least two morning blood tests, not one.
  • A clinician who orders and reviews follow-up labs, not just a prescription.

Look elsewhere first

  • Symptoms with normal labs: sleep problems, depression or stress, and heart and metabolic conditions are common causes.
  • Untreated sleep apnea, which can lower testosterone and worsen on treatment.
  • Plans to have children soon: TRT can reduce sperm count, so ask about alternatives.
  • Prostate cancer, very high red blood cell counts, or severe heart failure need a specialist's judgment.

Common questions

How Men's Health Atlas works

Do providers pay you to be listed or ranked?

No. Providers can't pay for placement, and scores follow criteria published on How we review. Our only paid relationship is the lab partner Goodlabs, which is clearly marked as sponsored and is not a TRT provider.

How are TRT providers scored?

Each provider gets an Atlas Score out of 5 across five weighted criteria: medical safeguards (30%), pricing transparency (25%), reputation (20%), access and options (15%), and customer terms (10%). Scores come from public information and are refreshed at least every six months.

Is TRT right for me?

Only a licensed clinician who has reviewed your symptoms and repeat morning blood tests can say. Our TRT guide explains how diagnosis and treatment work so you can ask better questions.

How current are the prices?

Pricing is compiled from public sources and can change without notice. Each review shows the date it was scored. Always confirm current prices and terms with the provider before you sign up.

Goodlabs — discounted bloodwork & lab panels

Get baseline and follow-up labs drawn independently, at a discount, instead of (or alongside) whatever panel your TRT provider bundles in. Not a TRT provider itself — this is just for the bloodwork.

Disclosure: If you sign up through this link, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This does not influence our coverage.
